The Role

 A Project Manager is required on the Middlewood Locks project to assist in leading the project team in its delivery of a first-class project namely safety, quality, time and cost.

The role will require an experienced, dynamic and passionate individual who continually delivers above and beyond client expectations, forges long term relationships that result in repeat business and promotes the business externally.

 Duties/responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for all aspects of the project, including all internal communications as well as liaising directly with the client team at all levels
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a high value mixed used residential and commercial project in Manchester
  • Minimise the company’s exposure and risk
  • Participant in team and client meetings
  • Planning and managing the programme
  • Managing a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to all stakeholders
  • Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change
  • Recognise areas for internal improvement and develop plans for implementation
  • Supply chain management
  • Support the Project Lead in the management of the tender process
  • Scope gap analysis
  • Key participant in the project adjudication
  • Compilation of Contractors Proposals
  • Ensure the effective performance management and development of direct reports, and the effective organisation of everyone within the project team
  • Comply with and enforce standard policies and procedures
  • Leads delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards

 Experience Required

  • Previous experience of managing high value mixed use residential and commercial projects through to final account settlement
  • Demonstrate a history of bid management
  • Gained in depth knowledge of different forms of contract conditions and be commercially astute
  • Proven history of successful contract negations at both tender stage and final account agreement
  • A high degree of communication skills at all levels
  • A sound knowledge of all aspects of health and safety requirements
  • Degree qualified
  • Valid CSCS card (black)
  • Full Clean driving license
  • First aid
