In December, we attended The University Collegiate School in Bolton, part of the QUEST Trust based in Wigan, to conduct an employer engagement activity day.
The session and presentation inspired the students and feedback received from the teachers after the event has shown that there was a positive attitude from the session.
Mr Dickson, Head of Key Stage 5 at University Collegiate School, mentioned:
“Our year 10 engineering group really enjoyed the morning and got so much out of it, especially the target groups such as the female students and those who are looking at the profession. The session and presentation inspired the students who were unaware of the engineering market and the opportunities available and showed some real difference in their attitude to the subject. This positive attitude has continued in lessons, now the students have a more focussed goal from their subject”.
