Liverpool in Works – Construction Open Day

This project is part of the Liverpool City Region ESF Ways to Work Programme and is part-funded by the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative. We have been very much involved in this project, which aims to support local people getting into work through job searches, coaching, mentoring, work experience, training, skills development and information, advice and guidance.

A delegation led by the Department for International Trade China visited Middlewood Locks

A group of Chinese delegation led by Department of International Trade China and UK came to visit Middlewood Locks site office aiming to understand the investment opportunities in the UK, seeking collaboration opportunities in the future and also to allow them to understand the construction development practice in UK. Carbon Management

Middlewood Locks has been in with Business Growth Hub to design a carbon management training programme to reduce the environmental impact of our supply chain and help our supplier optimise their efficiency and improve their environmental performance. The first session will take place at the end of October. There have been 16 suppliers with around 20 people committed to participate.

Introducing BIM to Lark Hill Primary School

Nidaa Alazmeh, our BIM coordinator also one of our STEM Ambassadors, introduced Year 5 pupils to BIM Modelling. The pupils were given tasks to design their own buildings and learned how to use the software technology to rotate, scale and move models. BCEGI hosts work experience “speed dating” event

Continuing support our local residents, Middlewood Locks took part in work experience ‘speed-dating’ session organised by Salford Futures at St Sebastian's Community Centre. The work experience opportunity is for people with little or no recent work history and/or want to develop skills to build up confidence through real life experience and also improve their chances of finding work.
